ZMSG TO EMBARK ON FORENISC AUDITING OF STATE WORKFORCE AS GOV. MATAWALLE RECIVES MINIMUM WAGE REPORT

The State committee constituted by Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle to look in to the possibility of implementation of the 30,000 naira minimum wage under the Chairmanship of the former Minister of State for Finance Amb. Bashir Yuguda Gusau has submitted it report on Tuesday.


The Governor who received the report with admiration explained that, his government will look in to the report and implement its recommendations in the overall interest of the workers of the state.


Bello Matawalle used the opportunity to call on the workers to be more active by blocking leakages and jacking up the sources of the internally generated revenue for the state to have access to more funds for implementation of new minimum wage and other services to the people.


“The government has diversified in to other alternative sources of funding so that at the end of the month every civil servant can go back home with a sizeable return to his family. We need the support of all of you because as a Governor I cannot be ableto to drive this state alone” Matawalle added.


The Governor also added that, the State government is carrying out forensic audit of its work force with a view to ascertaining its genuine workers adding that, his government is keenly interested in moving the state forward and also in improving the standard and wellbeing of the state civil servants.


Presenting the report, the committee chairman Amb. Bashir Yuguda Gusau noted with keen interest the development and transformation the state has undergone under the watch of Governor Bello Matawalle and urged him to sustain the gesture by doing more.


“Go to various local governments and see the development that is taking place, go and see the infrastructures that are being provided by this government. Go to Kaduna and see what we have turned our liason office to, go to Abuja and see what the Governor has done, see the great effort that he is also doing in all the sectors of human development, its impressive” Yuguda added.
