The National Working Committee of the PDP has approved the appointment of Tukur Danfulani the as the Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Zamfara State with a mandate instructing him to complete the remaining tenure of late Ibrahim Mallaha of blessed memory.
In a letter of appointment signed by the national secretary of the party Sen. Ibrahim Tsauri Katsina said the appointment of the Alh Tukur Danfulani as acting chairman of the PDP Zamfara was perfected as a result of the vacancy created by the death of late Ibrahim Mallaha and it was done in accordance with the section 47 (6) of the PDP Constitution.
While handing over the letter of appointment, Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle urged the appointee to do his best in transforming the party and also continue to modify the party just like his predecessor Alh Ibrahim Mallaha did.
The Governor urged him to carry everybody along and be fair to all noting that, his administration will continue to offer all the needed support to the party in order to make it viable and continue to make it the most popular party in the state.
In his acceptance speech, the acting Chairman noted that his elevation to the status of the state chairman has exposed him to doing more for the overall development of the PDP in Zamfara State.
He said he has already mapped out some strategic development plans that are meant to transform the party and promised that soonest he will make them visible noting that, PDP must continue to excel as a party every citizen of Zamfara should be proud of.
He called on the elders and all other stakeholders in the Zamfara PDP project to joint hand with his leadership and call his attention on any decision taken which in the opinion of the majority is not in the overall interest of the party progress in the state.
He thanked Governor Matawalle for the support and political orientation rendered on him and promised to make him proud in this new assignment.
