A junior engineer, technician, and scientists quiz competition has been organized by the State Universal Basic Education Board for primary and junior secondary schools in the state.
Department of Primary education led by Alh Garba Abdullahi Gusau take the lead in organizing the event.
He said the event was organized to prepare Zamfara students for the forthcoming zonal quiz competition coming up this year in Kano
He explained further that the quiz competition would henceforth be sustained as an annual event which will originate from inter-class, inter-schools and inter- zonal competition.
In his address the Executive Chairman Zamfara state Universal Basic Education Board Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu Maradun Represented by The permanent Member 1 Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi Maradun commended the effort of the organizers for providing the enabling environment to demonstrate their talent.
He advised them to continue to initiate similar programmes so that the capacity of the students can be enhanced.
According to the Spokesperson of the board Ibrahim Musa Maizare, at the end of the competition, Gusau zone emerged as the winner, followed by Talatar Mafara and Kaura Namoda Zone.
