Former Zamfara Governor Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar who doubled as an aspirant for the post of National Chairman of the APC has returned his filled nomination form to the National headquarters of the party.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Sen. Tijjani Yahaya Kaura led the delegation to the party national headquarters and made the submission on behalf of the former Governor.
Kaura said with the submission of the filled nomination form, Yari is ready to participate in the race and emerged victorious.
When asked about the zoning of the post of National Chairman to the North Central, Kaura said, “to the best of our knowledge, they are not aware of zoning of the post of National Chairman of the party to any zone within the North”.
He said when the time for the convention came, people would understand how powerful Yari is in the APC.
He affirmed that, “Abdulazeez Yari was a former state secretary of the defunct ANPP, State Chairman ANPP, Zamfara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigerian Governor’s Forum and by this he has the potential to emerged as the National Chairman of the APC.
