Former Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in Zamfara Lawal M. Liman has commended President Bola Ahmad Tinubu for considering fmr. Governor Bello Matawalle worthy of appointment as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Liman in a statement personally signed and made available to journalists in Abuja described the nomination of Bello Matawalle as a perfect decision which strengthen the hope of the APC supporters in Zamfara state.
He stated that the coming together of Sen. Yari and former Governor Matawalle has made APC stronger and that despite the political inconsistency that marred the conduct of the 2023 election, APC remains the most popular party to reckoned with.
“By the statement of Sen. Yari today when he paid a congratulatory visit to Matawalle one will not be in doubt that APC in Zamfara remains the winning party and that its stolen mandate will surely be returned through the part of justice as aptly stated by Yari”.
“We the APC members in Zamfara would remain grateful to Sen. Yari and Bello Matawalle for their choice of political unity which made the party stronger and more united”.
“His remarks about the political maturity of Yari today is a testimony of the APC, and its pathway to success, and we would remain loyal to the leadership of the duo at all time”.
“I wish Bello Matawalle the best of luck and urge him to justify the confidence reposed in him by making Zamfara people proud in his new national assignment”.
“We are hopeful and confident that the choice of former Governor Matawalle as Minister will never be regretted by Tinubu and indeed the APC” Liman added.
