Senator Kabiru Marafa led faction of the All Progressively Congress has objected to the appointment of the APC State Caretaker Committee for Zamfara.
This is contained in a statement by the Spoke Person of the Marafa faction Bello Bakyasuwa Maradun in a telephone interview wit this medium.
Bakyasuwa said the Mai Mala Buni led National Caretaker committee has made a mistake by restricting the composition of the state committee membership to those loyal to the former Yari faction alone.
He noted further that, Senator Marafa faction of the APC is still loyal to the National Caretaker Committee, but they have every reason to object to the composition of Zamfara State.
He added that, what the national Caretaker Committee supposed to do was to get the membership of the state caretaker committee spread across both factions of the APC as a means of reconciliation.
“The caretaker committee members should have been selected from both factions of Senator Marafa and former Governor Yari so that, the lingering crisis could be finally addressed”.
He said if only those loyal to Yari are retained as State Caretaker Committee members for sure the crises will continue to escalate hence Senator Marafa faction will continue to object to their supremacy.
He said unless the issue is addressed in good time, the chances of APC winning any election in Zamfara is invisible.
Bakyasuwa added that, members of Senator Kabiru Marafa led faction of the APC will remain in the party no matter the challenges
