Some suspected armed robbers in large number invaded Nahuche town in Bungudu local government area of Zamfara State early morning on Thursday killing one person and living behind three persons in critical injury.
The suspected robbers were alleged to have entered Nahuche town at around 2:30 am today and proceeded straight to the house of one Badamasi Muhammad Nahutawa a business man and owner of Nahutawa Petroleum where they killed one of his aids and injured three others who are currently receiving medical attention at FMC Gusau.
One of the residents of Nahuche town who spoke wiith Thunder Blowers Online News Medium said they came to the town on motor bikes and started shooting sporadically a circumstance that scared many people who had already retired to bed.
He said they went in search of the business man but as God has it they were not able to trace him within the home even as his wives confirmed to them that he has not returned back home from Gusau.
The source added that they searched at the personal bedroom where the business man was hiding but when they could not traced him they carted away with his huge sum of money and other valuables before departing.
On their way out of Nahuche another source said , they broke in to some shops at the Nahuche Motorpark and carted away handsets, food stuffs and drinks, loaded them on truck and moved away.
Another witness said at around 6:30am armed police men arrived the town and later on around 9:00am armed soldiers were also deployed to the town to take charge of the security of the area.
When contacted, Zamfara State Police Command Public Relations Officer SP Shehu Muhammad confirmed the incident adding that, joint operatives of armed policemen and soldiers have been deployed to restore normalcy while the State Police Command have been on the trail of the suspects.
