ZMHA PASSES BILL ON ESTABLISHMENT & MANAGEMENT OF SDG’s

The state House of Assembly has on Tuesday passed in to law a bill for an establishment and management of the State Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).

This followed the submission of a  compressive report by the deputy speaker of the State House of Assembly  who doubled as chairman of the  Special Duties Committee of the State House of Assembly Musa Bawa Musa yankuzo


After careful deliberations of the committee report and consenting to all the recommendations  by the committee, members at the plenary unanimously agreed to pass the bill in to law.

According to the Statement by the House Public Relations Officer Mustapha Jafaru Kaura reads that, with the development a clean copy of the bill will be sent to the Governor for executive assent before it becomes a law.


In a related development the bill seeking for the repeal of the law on State Accelerated Cotton Development Agency has passed through the second reading after re-presentation by the Deputy House Leader Nasiru Lawal Bungudu and it was later refer to the appropriate committee for further scrutiny.

Also the bill for the establishment and management of the Directorate of High Education had also passed through the second reading after the Deputy House leader Nasiru Lawal Bungudu urged the members to give the bill accelerated hearing considering the significance of tertiary education to the development of the state.

The House Committee on High Education was given two weeks within which to report to the plenary for deliberation and passage.
