ZAGIS MANAGEMENT VISIT ZAMFARA ACTING GOVERNOR, COMMENDS RELEASE OF 30M TO THE AGENCY

Zamfara State Acting Governor Mahadi Aliyu has received the management staffers of Zamfara State Geographic Information System (ZAGIS) who paid him a coutesy visit in his office

The management team led by their Director General Hassan Idris Gusau said, the purpose of the visit was to thank the Acting Governor for the unending support the state government has been rendering to his agency noting that, the development has lifted the status of ZAGIS to a very competitive level.

The DG commended the present administration of Bello Matawalle for releasing the sum of 30 million naira to ZAGIS for the execution of some activities in the agency noting that, the intervention has help in the structural transformation of the agency. 


He noted that, the intervention enable his agency to procure Survey Equipment of International standard worth up to 15 million naira, renovate the office edifice, add some glass offices as an extension among many other things.

He highlited that, part of the challenges faced by his agency include delay inn the issuance of electronic certificate of occupancy to the applicants among little other problems.


The DG used the opportunity to appeal to the Acting Governor for an immediate support for ZAGIS to be able to summount to some of its challenges noting that, the agency is working harder to strengthen its operations around Certifications, Re-certifications, Payment of Outstanding Ground rent among other things
In his response, the state  Deputy Governor  Mahadi Aliyu Gusau, pledged to intimate the Governor and  see how best, these challenges can be addressed to enable the agency have proper take off.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
