A former leader of Zamfara State House of Assembly Salisu Musa Tsafe has opines that the resolution on the National Security Adviser amount to “passing of a vote of no confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari.

Salisu Tsafe who was reacting to the resolution of the members of Zamfara state house of assembly on Wednesday where they declared that they have passed a vote of no confidence on the National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno said the resolution of National Council on Security is never a sole decision of Gen. Monguno rather a resolution of the government of Nigeria led by President Muhammadu Buhari.

“The implications of their resolution is that they are passing a vote of no confidence to President Muhammadu Buhari because he is the chairman of the National Security Council and he has ratified the resolution reached by the council” Kainuwa added.

On whether their decision was right, Salisu Tsafe said, they have acted out of their jurisdiction because they don’t have power over the president who is the chairman of the council that made the resolution nor General Monguno who is a Presidential appointee.

He noted that he has been a house leader and one of the senior ranking member of Zamfara State House of Assembly but throughout his stay at the house they have never passed a vote of no confidence against the President neither his federal appointees because they don’t share the same jurisdiction with the federal legislatures.

He added that, if the federal lawmakers from Zamfara unite and raised the issue at the federal chamber it would have been different but for state assembly members to acted this way their resolution resulted to an exercise in futility.

He called on them to apologize to the people of Zamfara and indeed the entire Nigerians and also come back to the chamber and withdraw the resolution.
