Zamfara State government has procured 2000 units of brand-new motorcycles for distribution to state civil servants across the state.
Governor Bello Matawalle who declared this during an event to commemorate 2021 workers day in Gusau on Saturday said, the gesture is part of his administration’s determination to ease transportation difficulties encountered by the state civil servants.
The Governor said, “on the transportation challenges that workers face, we have purchased 2000 ladies motorcycles for
distribution to our civil servants on loan basis”.
He added that, “state government employees will receive 1000 motorcycles, Local Government employees will
receive 500 motorcycles, and Universal Basic Education Commission employees will receive 500 motorcycles”.
According to Matawalle the repayment period of the loan would be eighteen months.
