Report reaching this medium has it that some suspected bandits had opened fire on a petrol tanker conveying petroleum substance to Dansadau area of Zamfara State.
A source who spokes to this medium said, the petrol tanker was attacked along old military check points closer to Yargaladima town.
The tanker driver and his aids had reportedly escaped from the car, but there whereabouts could not be established
As at the time of filing this report, the petrol tanker fully loaded with the substance according to the source is still burning in fire.
The same source said, other vehicles including a Canter Mitsubishi, and small other commercial cars were attacked at the same point where the petrol tanker was attacked.
Some of the passengers in the vehicles attacked sustained injury while others treked to Dansadau bear footed.
Zamfara Police Spokesperson SP Shehu Muhammad could not be reached for comment as at the time of filing this report.
