The figure of those abducted in the recent attack in Rini local government area of Zamfara State has raised to 106 as against 80 reported in our earlier report.
An independent media consultant who travelled to Rini over the weekend told this medium that as at the last count conducted by the residents of the area indicated that they have so far lost (106) persons to the abductors.
It could be recalled that armed bandits in their multiple numbers invaded Rini community in Bakura local government area of Zamfara State last week Friday.
The attack came barely few days after some scores of students and lecturers of the College of Agriculture and Animal Science, Bakura were kidnapped.
During the operation, a police Inspector and two local security operatives were killed by the bandits.
Zamfara Police Spokesperson SP Shehu Muhammad could not be reached for comment as at the time of filing this report.
