The editorial team of Thunder Blowers has written to the State Accountant General demanding for explanation in the delay of payment of statutory pension.
The managing Editor and the team lead Dr. Anas Sani Anka said, the condition of state pensioners for the past five months has become a source of worry, and it seems the state government led by Bello Matawalle is not mindful of the plight of these critical people.
Anka said the level of complaints by the state pensioners and government lack of concern to addressing these issue is a clear demonstration of the simple facts that, public need to be informed of the reality on ground.
Those contacted for information include Chairman State/local government contributory pension commission, leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), office of the head of service, Secretary to the State Government and Union of Pensioners.
He said by Monday next week, a comprehensive feature story of the sufferings of the state pensioners would be published by this medium for the whole world to know the attitude of the state government toward these very important people
