The Chairman of Zamfara chapter of Northern Youth Assembly Mannir Haidara Kaura has described the recent threat by Governor Bello Matawalle to demolishing the house of any stakeholder in Zamfara who failed to take an oath distancing self from the act of banditry as “political mockery”
The activists who spoke during a TV show of Thunder Blowers “Tiryan Tiryan” on Monday said the Governor should understand that we are under democratic regime not dictatorship and as such the threat by the Governor should not be seen as something to worry about.
“In my understanding of the statement of the Governor, he has been away for sometimes and now that he has returned he may have so many things to voice out for political mockery because there is no law not even a constitution of Nigeria instructed someone to take an oath distancing himself from any act. So, no one shall take that threat from the Governor as something serious”.
“Our political leaders must understand that we are under democratic rule not military dictatorship, and they need to carefully understand that laws and regulations are what govern the democratic rule not mere mockery statements” Haidara added.
