Zamfara State ministry for humanitarian affairs and disaster management has distributed food stuffs and other utensils to mentally retarded person at the state psychiatrist hospital, Anka.
The Commissioner for the Ministry Faika Ahmad in company of the officials of the state hospital management board led the distribution exercise.
She said her ministry is concern about assisting those that are victims of armed banditry, as well as the less privileged and people with special needs.
She further called on the public to always bring those with mental retardation to psychiatric hospitals for medical consideration.
The Executive Chairman of Zamfara Hospital Management Board Dr. Bashir Maru commended the effort of the ministry for humanitarian affairs for considering psychiatric hospital in their humanitarian intervention and urged them to continue to do more.
Part of the outing, the Commissioner has distributed relief materials to (31) people who were victims of armed bandit activities at Ruwan Dorawa in Maru local government area of the state.
