Zamfara State Governor has inaugurated the newly reconstructed General Hospital Birnin Magaji.
The hospital which is (300) bed-capacity with (6) units of two-bedroom detached was inaugurated by Dr. Bashir Maru Chairman of Zamfara State Hospital Management Board who stood in for Governor Bello Matawalle.
Dr. Maru who appreciated the effort of Governor Bello Matawalle for completing the hospital project urged the people of Birnin Magaji to take advantage of the availability of the health facility by ensuring that they access it for medical attention
He warned staff of the hospital to be active and alive to their responsibilities and promised that more health personals would be deployed to the hospital.
He said soonest he would contact the Governor for approval to deploy additional non-essential staff to aid in making the operation of the hospital more effective.
He warned that any staff who is not ready to move to Birnin Magaji with his family shall not be allocated any of the newly constructed houses.
The Emir of Birnin Magaji Alh Hissaini Dan Ali represented by the District Head of Birnin Magaji Alh Aliyu Maishanu and local government council sole administrator all commended the Governor for his commitment toward completing the hospital and promised to continue to play their role in making sure that the hospital is maintained to its original standard.
