ARMED BANDITS AMBUSHED NSCDC OPERATIVES, KILLS (2) AND SET ABLAZE OPERATIONAL VEHICLE

Suspected armed bandits laid an ambush at the operatives of Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp along Zurmi area and killed two personals of the operatives.

According to a security source, the bandits perfect the attack along Hawan Bakwai Na’alawa area along Kaura Namoda Shinkafi road around 12:00pm on Friday.

The source said, the number of the armed bandits was up to (150) and they were well armed to a point that those operatives who were not killed had to escape to Shinkafi and get military re-enforcement.

He added that the driver of the NSCDC operatives made all effort to escape but was attacked and set ablaze inside the operational vehicle.

He further said the dead body of one of the three officers who escaped was found along a nearby village of Shinkafi, and it was deposited at the General Hospital Shinkafi mortuary.

The spokesperson of the Corp in Zamfara Mr. Ikor Oche confirmed the incident to this medium.
