The former APC gubernatorial candidate for Zamfara during the 2019 general elections Mukhtar Shehu Idris has donated two plots of land for construction of Friday prayer mosque and model Islamic School in Gusau the state capital.
The two plots of land were handed over to one of the prominent Islamic scholars in Gusau Malam Mansur Ahmad Makaranta on Tuesday.
One of the political allies of the politician and former Gusau Council Chairman, Hon. Babangida Gusau stood in for the politician and took the Islamic scholar round the entire land before handing him over the certificates and titles of the land.
The presentation was done in the presence of Hon Aminu Adamu Dankwangila, Mal. Bello Na Malam Babba, Alh Zubairu Shehu Idris, Activist Muhammad Lawal and one Rufai Shalele as the witnesses.
The politician said the donation was made as spiritual gesture (Sadaqatul Jariya) for his late parents Alh Shehu Idris and Hajiya Maryam.
Malam Mansur Ahmad Makaranta thanked the politician for the donation and prayed for God almighty to reward him with Jannatul Furdausi.
