Members of the Finance and Appropriation committee of Zamfara State House of Assembly have declared zero allocation for Zamfara school of Nursing and College of Health Science Tsafe pending clarification on the where about of their internally generated revenue IGR.
Chairman of the committee Shamsu Basko Mafara who stated this during the budget defense for the Ministry of Health said, it would not be fair for the state government to be disbursing funds to the two institutions while they are not remitting a dime to the state government coffers from the IGR they are generating.
He said another time would be fixed for the officials of the two institutions to come and clarify how they have been utilizing their IGR before money is released to them in the 2022 budget.
Zamfara commissioner for health Aliyu Abubakar Tsafe expressed satisfaction with their interface and promised to returned for the continued discussion with the members when new date is fixed.
