Former Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning under the administration of Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, Kabiru Sahabi Liman Kaura has joined the political camp of Governor Bello Matawalle.
Liman formally announced his decision to join Bello Matawalle political camp after he visited the state APC Secretariat, along Sokoto bye-pass road, Gusau on Sunday.
He was received formally by the party Chairman Tukur Umar Danfulani alongside some members of his executive council.
According to the statement by the party Spokesperson Yusuf Idris Gusau said Kabiru Sahabi Liman decided to join the Matawalle political team because of the giant strides of the administration in developing the state.
Idris further said the former Commissioner left the former governor’s camp because the movement is characterized by political deceit and uncertainty.
He cited reference with the recent federal high court judgement where the former Governor assured them of victory which turned out to be not factual.
Liman informed the chairman that soonest, many followers of the former Governor Yari would join the political team of Governor Matawalle.
He pointed out that with the realization and confirmation of Governor Matawalle as the state’s APC leader, many of the party supporters have expressed willingness to leave Yari political camp and join the Governor in a bid to develop the state.
In his address of welcome, chairman, of the party Tukur Umar Danfulani expressed happiness with the new development which he described as a bold decision that will salvage the party from political racketeers who are bent on destroying the party or compromising its victory for their selfish interests.
He assured to carry him along with all his supporters in all the party activities.
Tukur Danfulani explained that APC under governor Matawalle is a rebranded one, and it will continue to accommodate all party members across all levels without discrimination.
