The abductors of the nine family members of the former Accountant General of Zamfara Alh Abubakar Furfuri have called to demand for the payment of (200) million naira.
It could be recalled that, the suspected bandits invaded the personal residence of Zamfara former Accountant General Abubakar Furfuri and abducted nine members of his family members.
Among them were his two matrimonial wives seven children and great-grand children who are still in captivity as at the time of filing this report.
The abductors were alleged to have moved with the abductees bear-footed, while the military operatives arrived in the village two hours after the incident.
Zamfara State Police Spokesperson SP Shehu Muhammad confirmed the incident and explained that the combine pursuit of the abductors by the security operatives and members of the local vigilante, the gunmen abandoned the two abductees and proceeded to the forest.
He assured that, the combined effort of the security operatives will surely result to the safe rescue of the abductees.
