AIG ZONE (10) VISITS ZAMFARA, MEETS GOVERNOR AND POLICE OFFICERS

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone (10) Ali Janga has arrived Zamfara to see the officers and men of the command as well as boost their morale in their tireless efforts to fight insecurity especially armed banditry and armed bandits activities in the state.

The AIG is also billed to meet with the Governor Bello Matawalle and discuss praising issues regarding the worsening insecurity in the state and chart the way out.

Before meeting the Governor with the Governor, the AIG held a press conference where he assured that the Inspector General of Police is committed to the welfare of personnel in the zone.

He said since Sokoto, Jenni and Zamfara are amongst the states affected by insecurity, the police need to ensure intensed collaboration with other security agencies to ensure that criminality has been reduced to the barest minimum.

“Eforts must be put in place to address the lingering insecurity challenges facing my zone and we shall strive to work assiduously and harmoniously with our sister security agencies to attain the desired objectives”.

He called on the people to remain calm and report susoecious movement actions to the security agencies for necessary action

He appreciated the effort of the Governor Bello Matawalle for his unending support to the plight of the police in the state and urged him to sustain the gesture.

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
