Sen. Kabiru Garba Marafa had described as false allegation that the Governor of Zamfara has bought a house apartment for him in Gusau.
Sen. Marafa who spoke through one of his political allies, Mal. Aminu Jelani said,x it was unfortunate that people are making false allegation that a house was purchase for Sen. Marafa by Governor Bello Matawalle noting that, the burden of proof lies with the wailers to establish the fact to substantiate their allegations.
“Sen. Marafa is not aware of any house bought in his name by Zamfara state government or any of its agent and if anyone has fact to establish it we want him to swear to his holy creator that such transaction had happened in his name”.
“The only house we knew was the one he (Marafa) had bought from the family of Sarkin Noma and he made the draft and pay them. The agents and family members are alive, and they can testify”.
“Either the Governor or any of his agent shall swear to God that a house was bought for senator Marafa and if that is done Marafa will surrender the key of the house to Mal. Ahmad Umar Kanoma so that it can be sold, and the money be taken back to the state Treasury.
He said it does not make any sense for someone to believe under this kind of socio-economic condition millions of naira can be picked from public treasury for the purpose of buying housing apartment to a politician like Sen. Marafa.
He advised the public to always be careful of what they say against others since God almighty will awaken someone in the day of judgement to account for his actions.
