APC GOVERNORS FORUM VISIT GOVERNOR MATAWALLE, DONATES 50 MILLION TO VICTIMS OF FIRE INFERNO

Members of All Progressives Governors Forum has offered a cash donation of 50 million naira to the victims of fire inferno in Tudun Wada market Gusau the Zamfara State capital.

Chairman of the forum who doubled as Kebbi State Governor Atiku Bagudu announced the donation when the led members of the forum to commiserate with the government and people of Zamfara State over the tragedy.

He described the fire incident as tragic noting that members of the forum were shocked after hearing the news of the incident.

He said the forum was also in Katsina State to commiserate with the victims of a similar fire incident that occurred just recently.

The Chairman on behalf of the members of the forum commended Governor Bello Matawalle for taking the giant step of restoring relative peace in the state.

Responding to the delegation, Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle commended the delegation for their brotherly care and love noting that travelling by road to pay a sympathy visit to Zamfara people as that has demonstrated their extreme concern for the plight of Zamfara people.

Governor Matawalle challenged that his brothers from the PDP who are supposed to pay him a similar visit are yet to do the same noting that the gesture would be reciprocated

“This is a strategy from and by the APC and Zamfara as a no man’s land will continue to welcome you, and we will not care what negative other people will say, but we expect you to also extend our appreciation to our President Muhammadu Buhari”.

The Chairman of the forum was accompanied in the visit by Governors of Yobe State Mai Mala Buni and his counterpart from Yobe Muhammad Badaru Abubkar.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
