ARMED BANDITRY: GOV. MATAWALLE VISIT KANOMA COMMUNITIES

Governor Bello Matawalle in company of Speaker of Zamfara State House of Assembly and other top officials of Zamfara State Government has paid a condolence visit to the people of Asha Lafiya and rest part of Kanoma villages over the recent armed bandits attack.

The Governor who expressed sadness with the resurgence of armed bandits activities assured the people of the state that his administration will remain committed in making sure that lives and properties of the people are saved.

Matawalle who extended the condolences of the state government prayed for God almighty to grant the deceased Jannatul Firdausi and give their families the fortitude to bear the loss.

It could be recalled that last week there have scores of attacks on the people of Kanoma, and it’s neighboring villages where some number of people were killed.

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
