AS SUSPICION OF CRISES WITHIN SEN. KABIRU MARAFA POLITICAL MOVEMENT DEEPENS, POLITICAL AIDS HIT THE NAIL

As suspicion of internal crises amongst the political supporters of Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa deepened, public commentators believed that it may be a big setback for the political prospect of the popular senator in Zamfara.


Evidently for a few days, some factions of the supporters of Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa who are believed to be loyalists of some of those holding key positions within the current government of PDP in the state took to social media to broadcast their mind regarding the political friction within the political movement.

There has been growing rumour that, “Senator Marafa has instructed all his supporters holding positions in the PDP government of Zamfara to resigns in the overall interest of his political movement”.


Those believed to be the supporters of these political actors targeted by the alleged Senator Marafa’s pronouncement have been promoting factional views that, their political heroes are ready to shift their ground and extend their loyalty to Matawalle and ruling PDP in Zamfara state.

This suspicious political crises is further confirmed by the responses fired back by media aids of distinguished senator Kabiru Garba Marafa like Shamsu Kasida who took time to file a huge load of defense to refute what he termed as “concocted story against their political movement”.

After reading his point of view on the crises via facebook Thunder Blowers contacted Shamsu Kasida to hear directly from him, and he told this medium that, Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa had never for once instructed any of them to dump his political position from Matawalle government for whatever reason.


He said mischief-makers are solidly behind this instigation since the relationship between Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa and Governor Matawalle is intact.

This view of Shamsu Kasida was also strengthen by the leader of Kabiru Garba Marafa political movement Alh Surajo Maikatako in a telephone interview with the managing Editor of this medium where he insisted that “there was nothing like crises between Senator Marafa and Governor Matawalle as well as suspected internal crises within Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa political movement”.


He challenged anyone with evidence that Marafa has any rift with the Governor or those his supporters that are within the PDP government to put it forward hence as leader of the movement he is the first who is supposed to be contacted by Senator Marafa on any communication to be made to their supporters.

The Spokes’ person of Marafa political movement Bello Bakyasuwa Maradun said Senator Marafa is not aware of any crises between himself and Governor Matawalle and that the story is a concocted one.


He told this medium that, an emergency meeting was summoned at the Marafa campaign office on Monday to examine the cause of the whole issue and chart the way forward.

He said the serving Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperative Abubakar Abdullahi Tsafe, SA Muzakkiru Sidi Bawa and many others serving the PDP government in Zamfara have maintained cordial relationship with Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa and those within his political movement.


When contacted, a Governor’s Spoke Person Malam Yusuf Idris Gusau said to the best of his knowledge the relationship between his principal Governor Bello Matawalle and Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa is intact.


He explained that the administration of Bello Matawalle has accommodated people even from the opposition and that anybody who believed he want to move proper to the PDP he is welcomed.

He said the effort put in place by the current administration in changing the lives of the people of Zamfara State is evident hence a lot of those who defected to the PDP ar
e convinced that, the Governor is working.

AHEAD OF THE APC PRIMARIES, ZAMFARA FMR. FED. LAWMAKER MEETS PARTY DELEGATES.

The former lawmaker who represented Maru and Bungudu Federal constituency Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu has met with party stakeholders from his constituency in his bid to woe their support ahead of the forthcoming APC primaries.

Zannan Bungudu is re-contesting for the same post of member representing Maru/Bungudu at the federal house of reps under the umbrella of All Progressive Congress.

His bid to contest the post followed the recent reconciliation effort between the serving Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle and the former Governor Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar.

The meeting which took place at the conference hall of City King Hotel Gusau on Wednesday was attended by the APC Chairmen for Maru and Bungud and all the delegates from the two local government areas.

During the interface, vital issues regarding the progress of the APC, Bello Matawalle and all the party aspirants were discussed.

APC COMMITTEE SCREENS (28) LAWMAKERS IN ZAMFARA

The APC screening committee sent to Zamfara State has screened (28) aspirants who are going to contest for the posts of members of Zamfara State House of Assembly.

The seven-man committee led by Hon. Babangida Tijjani Banki from Borno State assured that justice would be done to all the aspirants screened.

With the screening of the 28 aspirants, four constituencies may likely go into the primary election if consensus has not been reached between the candidates.

The state House of Assembly has the vacancy of only (24) members representing the (14) local government councils.

The remaining members of the committee include Hon Wakili Aliyu, Hon Abubakar Yarima, Faruk Ibrahim Tsiga, Hon Abdullahi Musa, Hon Adamu Ibrahim and Hajiya Fadima Ibrahim who is to serve as committee Secretary.

GOV. BELLO MATAWALLE NAMES NEW EMIRS

Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle has approved the appointment of Alh Muh’d Bello Suleiman as the new Sarkin Zamfaran Zurmi (Emir of Zurmi).

He has also appointed Alh Aliyu Garba Marafa as the new Emir of Birnin Yan doto while Alh Muhd Aliyu was appointed as the new Sarkin Bazai.

The two emirs of Bazai and Birnin Yandoto were appointed following the signing into law the amended Zamfara Emirate Council Act 2022 which led to the creation of the two additional emirate councils of Yandoto and Bazai.

As for the new Emir of Zurmi he was appointed following the dethronement of the former Emir Atiku Abubakar by the current administration of Bello Matawalle

According to the statement signed by the Secretary to the state government Kabiru Balarabe, the Governor also approved the appointment of Alh Habib Lawal Habib khalifa as the new Bunun Tsafe the Senior District Head of Tsafe.

Both appointments take immediate effect.
