Zamfara State government has earmarked the sum of 508 million naira to supporting the lives of the aged and disabled persons in the state.
General Manager of the CSDP Zamfara state Alh Garba Mohammad declared this when featured at the Thunder Blowers TV programme on Sunday.
He said under the new CARES programme tagged “Matawalle Vision 2023”, the aged people who cannot actively source for their livelihood would be supported with cash on monthly basis to enable them sustained their living.
He further said, other categories of people to be supported under the intervention are the disabled persons who would be identified across the fourteen local government areas of the state.
He said a total of 2.108 billion naira would be expended for the usual CSDP intervention on health, education, community development services and other vital areas of socio-economic development.
He assured that the programme would be implemented in line with the procedures of the World Bank and the terms of engagement developed by the state.
He commended Governor Matawalle for the support and assured that with the guidance of the Chairman of the Committee Ibrahim Jibo the programme would excelled.
