Information reaching this medium has it that former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Zamfara Alh Bello Dankande Gamji has emerged as the APC consensus candidate for the Bakura State Assembly Bye election.
This emerged after a consensus was reached between him and two other aspirants earlier cleared by the screening committee of the party namely Hon. Danbala Yarfakoji and Lawali Isah Birnin Tudu today in Gusau.
Earlier the Chairman of the Primary Election Committee sent by the National Working Committee of the APC Ahmad Kareto met with all the stakeholders and briefed them on their mission of conducting free and credible primary elections.
It was also announced that, one of the aspirants who belongs to the Marafa led faction of the APC Sani Muhammad Yarfakoji was disqualified by the screening committee of the National Headquarters of the party.
By Thursday, the party will conduct primary elections for the purpose of affirmation by the delegates.
