DEPUTY GOVERNOR MAHADI ALIYU GUSAU & PDP OFFICIALS ARE USING THE MEDIA TO PLAY WITH THE INTELLIGENCE OF ZAMFARA PEOPLE FOR SELFISH POLITICAL AGENDA AHEAD OF 2023.

A chieftain of All Progressives Congress in Zamfara Sani Abdullahi (Wamban Shinkafi) has explained that officials of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and indeed the state Deputy Governor have nothing to raise as condemnation against the government of Bello Matawalle since they have been part of the government since inception of his administration.

Wamban Shinkafi who spoke during an exclusive interview with Thunder Blowers said, Mahadi is the Deputy Governor of Matawalle and has been part of critical decisions taken by the administration so if the government has any shortcomings he must be counted part of the problems.

As for Col. Bala Mande, Wambai said, he has been the Chief of staff to the Governor up to 28th June, 2021, and there was no decision taken throughout the time he was holding the position without his input.

According to Wambai Prof. Kabiru Jabaka the Deputy Chairman of the PDP in Zamfara is only playing with the intelligence of the people for the simple fact that he has a pending case to respond to before the public account committee of the state house of assembly and unless he has cleared himself of the allegations of financial recklessness when he was Chairman of Zakkat and endowment board instead of dribbling with the intelligence of the good people of Zamfara. In nut shell it diversionary .

On the threat to expose the state Governor for being a sole contractor in Zamfara Zakkat Board, Shinkafi challenged Jabaka to go to the corporate affairs commission ( CAC) and obtain certified true copies of form Co 2 , Co7 for the particulars of the directors registered with the company, Memorandum and article of association of the company, and Certificates of incorporation of the Company as private limited liability this is only way they substantiate their allegations and expose the Governor as the owner of any contracting company used in securing contract in Zamfara State just the way Efcc did to expose former Governor Yari and his family as the sole ownership of BT Oil and Gas Ltd noting that the era of making blanket allegations against someone is gone.

He further explained that there is a huge difference between Governor Matawalle as a person and being a contractor and also Matawalle & Co as a corporate legal entity which could sue and be sued adding that the burden of proof lies with Jabaka on this particular allegation.

On the allegation that the sum of (N31b) naira has been expended by Governor Bello Matawalle as cash allocation Shinkafi said, if Jabaka had known what Zamfara state government received as statutory allocation from the Federation account on monthly basis he would have not made such type of laughable statements.

He said, with the unjustified debt left by the Yari administration and on the spot deduction from the state monthly allocation for repayment of debt/ loan from Central Bank of Nigeria secured by Yari it was evident that what is left for Matawalle cannot even be adequately to pay salary / pension not to talk of having as huge amount as over one billion naira as surplus as cash allocation and security vote per month.

He rather queried the explanations made by Prof. Jabaka on how the Deputy Governor spent his own #700 million naira cash allocation is diversionary and financial accounting standards. saying the breakdown given by Jabaka contradicts the purpose of the money was meant for monthly administrative purposes as office imprest for day to day affairs of the Deputy Governor office expenses in the approved Zamfara State budget in the recurrent expenditure. The funds supposed to be retired to the central government account .

On the concern of the Deputy Governor and PDP to end armed banditry in Zamfara, Wambai said “
I am opportune to attend one of the state security meeting as an observer, and to my surprise, neither Col. Bala Mande who was a former Sole Administrator of Nasarawa State, Minister and a retired colonel in the Nigerian army nor Mahadi Aliyu as the state deputy Governor could utter a word to contribute to the discussion and instead it was only the former SSG Bala Bello Maru who could advise the forum to invite the leadership of NUPENG to discuss ways to end supply of petroleum to bandits”.

Wambai also alleged that since the inception of this government, neither Deputy Mahadi Aliyu, Col. Bala Mande nor Prof. Jabaka or anybody in the PDP has ever taken the bold step of providing relief materials to the thousands of internally displaced person’s (IDP’s ) as part of the show of concern on the incessant armed bandit attacks that ravaged in the state when they are eating and dining with Matawalle before his defection to All Progressives Congress.( APC)

He challenged anyone in the Zamfara PDP to provide evidence of such community engagement when the going was good with them and governor a view to proving his allegations wrong.
