Presidential and National Assembly elections had since started in Zamfara with thousands of voters queuing ennarss to cast their votes.
Voting had commenced in most parts of Gusau the capital city, while in some poling units within the capital voters are patiently waiting for the arrival of the election materials as well as INEC officials.
In Zurmi and Bakura local governments, voting has since commenced in many poling units, especially within the council headquarters.
In Gummi, Anka, Bukkuyum and Tsafe, voting is yet to start but election materials as well as INEC officials have started arriving in the poling units.
In Maru, Maradun, Kaura and Talatar Mafara voting had also commenced in some few numbers of poling units while others had voters already queued waiting for INEC to commence voting.

No record of security incident is so far recorded as elections had started peacefully across the state.
Governor Bello Matawalle and other prominent political actors in the state, including former Governors, are yet to cast their votes.
