We have watched another series of interviews by one of the spokespersons of Governor Dauda Lawal Mal. Mustapha Jafaru Kaura on DCL Hausa regarding the state of affairs and how his principal took over the mantle of leadership in Zamfara state.

No one is in doubt that the transition between one government and another is usually characterized by a lot of noise making blame games and lamentations, but that should not be over-blown out of reasonable proportion.

It is our thoughts that Zamfara people have voted for the PDP government in Zamfara because they have accepted the majority of the narratives about the incapacitation of the APC government in Zamfara especially during the 2023 campaign rallies and I think ordinarily it is expected that since the very day Dauda Lawal was announced as the winner of the election the lamentation shall end.

I doubt if Zamfara people would be interested in the continued lamentation or rather any discussion about the past government of Matawallen Maradun.

Right or wrong, Matawalle has done his own very best and handed over power to Governor Dauda Lawal and it is the expectations of the Zamfara people that the new government of Dauda Lawal will step in to correct the anomalies detected if at all there are!!!.

The Governor, for instance, had granted interviews via different channels and lamented strongly how Zamfara treasury was allegedly looted. He raised multiple number of unsubstantiated allegations against the former Governor Matawalle to a point people begin to doubt the sincerity of his claims.

His SSG Mal. Abubakar Nakwada had said so much about the immediate past government of Bello Matawalle and Zamfara people have heard him loud and clear even though the allegations are never substantiated.

Now, for anyone who has listened to the interview granted to DCL Hausa by Mal. Mustapha Jafaru Kaura on same issues raised by his Principal as well as the SSG he will begin to doubt if really the government of Dauda Lawal has not lost focus.

The lamentations are enough, the government needs to act past and do something different from what Matawalle has refused to do. That is change and that is transformation.

At this very critical moment in Nigerian history and with the difficulty Zamfara people are encountering as a result of the removal of subsidy, they have heard enough from the government of Zamfara as per the failure of former Governor Bello Matawalle as they alleged.

The people of Zamfara are waiting to see something different in terms of infrastructural development, reforms in education, revolution in agriculture as well reduction in poverty, unemployment, and illiteracy levels.

I think it is part of the weakness of the Governor’s media team by continuing to engage the media on the failures of Matawalle more than a month in power. Zamfara people need to hear a different narrative about Zamfara under Governor Dauda Lawal.

It is expected that the media managers to the new Governor of Zamfara would engage the citizens about the government action plans to transform the state as well as what the government has done visibly to make a huge a difference within thirty days now.

.Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has inaugurated his executive Council, and he had set up governance in place, same way Dr. Umar Dikko Rada has done perfectly well by setting up governance on its right track in Katsina state.

The level of insecurity ravaging Zamfara state is enough to incite fear in the mind of the people that the government of Dauda Lawal has lost focus, and it will continue to lose the sympathy of the people if lamentations about the immediate past government has not stopped.

Governor Dauda Lawal shall please send the list of his Commissioners to the state house of assembly possibly within this week to show that he is serious if not the vacuum created in terms of visible governance in Zamfara state will continue to showcase the government as purely inactive.

Mr. Jafar Kaura and his other colleagues should understand that corporate information management on government is not about unending lamentations on the activities of the past government, but scientific manipulation of strategies to win the heart of the people by changing bad to good.

We have seen many scenarios from vandalization of public address after winning election to breaking into the Governor’s privates residences in the name of recovering government vehicles and many more and that is enough Zamfara people want to see things working for the betterment of the state.

We remain focus and would continue to observe what the government of Dauda Lawal is doing about security, managing water shortfall in Gusau the capital city of Zamfara, payment of salaries of the civil servants, pensioners as well as improvement in access to education and health care system.
