Federal government has declared Zamfara State “No Fly Zone” area after the Tuesday’s National Security Council Meeting.
National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno who announced this after the security council meeting said, Federal Government had also announced the banning of mining activities in Zamfara State as part of the measures aimed at curbing the menace of insecurity bidevilling the state.
According to the experts a “No fly zone area” means a territory established under the control of the military and which certain aircraft are not permitted to fly the area.
Babagana said Zamfara area has been put under surveillance as federal government is ready to do anything possible to to bring an end to menace of criminal activities in the state.
The NSA said the country’s defence and intelligence organization have been put on alert and charged not to allow the country to slide into a state of anarchy
Monguno also said the President, in the meeting, gave a marching order to the new service chiefs to reclaim all areas under the control of bandits, insurgents, and kidnappers.
