The immediate past Governor Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar has accused the Senator representing Zamfara West Lawal Hassan Daniya, member house representative Kabiru Amadu Maipalace, State Party Chairman Tukur Danfulani of aiding thugs in multiple ballot box snatching in Bakura bye election.
The former Governor also accused State Finance Commissioner Rabiu Garba, his counterpart from Local Government and Chaplaincy Affairs Yahaya Chado, and that of Agriculture Dr. Yarkofoji of ballot box snatching at the various polling units in Bakura during the conduct of the election.
He also accused the State Commandant of Zamfara Road Traffic Management Agency Aliyu Alhazzai of snatching ballot boxes and setting them on fire in the presence of the voters.
He wondered why security agencies compromised openly by allowing supporters of the PDP to rig the election in the open and intimidate the voters for their selfish political reasons.
He denied the allegations that, APC members have also rigged election and aided ballot box snatching noting that if there is anyone with evidences that can indict APC members during the election should probe it to the public.
Yari further said, if there is any evidence that connected any APC member with the scenario of ballot box snatching should make his evidences public assuring that he is ready to hand him over to the security agencies for action.
Yari busted that, APC is not interested in rigging election because APC has the majority and is widely the most popular party amongst the people of the state.
He said they will forward their complaint to the APC National Headquarters on what PDP has done during the bye election noting that unless INEC and security agencies are ready to amend their shortcomings and secure the voters from the intimidation of the PDP the party may not likely join the re-run election.
