Governor Bello Matawalle has mourn the death of the state Auditor General Alh Abdullahi Ibrahim who died at the early hours of Monday.
The Governor who expressed sadness with the sudden exit of the decease described his death as a great loss to his government, especially considering the active role he played during the state verification exercise.
He described the late Auditor General as a hardworking and honest civil servant who contributed immensely to the development of Zamfara state in different capacities.
According to the statement by the Governor’s Spokesperson Malam Yusuf Idris Gusau said, immediately after the death of late Auditor General was announced, the Governor directed his personal physician to arrange for the dead body of the decease to be conveyed to his Tsafe country home for burial.
Idris further said his principal Bello Matawalle was represented at the funeral prayer of the decease by the Speaker of the state house of assembly Nasiru Muazu Magarya which took place at the palace of the emir of Chafe.
In a condolence message to the emir of Chafe Governor Bello Matawalle said the exit of the auditor general was a great lost to the entire people of the emirate, and he prayed for God almighty to grant him Jannatul Firdausi.
