GOV. BELLO MATAWALLE DENIES GOING TO USA FOR FAMILY REASONS, INSIST HIS MISSION IS TO ATTRACT INVESTORS TO ZAMFARA

Governor Bello Matawalle has denied the rumor making round the public that, he has travelled to the United States because of his family matters.

The Governor who spoke to Voice of America Hausa service while in New York said, they have been spreading rumors that he has gone to the Atlanta where his wife is residing.

He explained that contrary to the insinuations by the oppositions, he is currently in New York City together with the Presidential entourage meeting stakeholders and investors.

He accused some enemies of state as those responsible for fueling the fake news, noting that as a Governor if he continues to listen to such diversionary remarks he may not deliver for the people.

“Because I am a Governor, I should remain in Zamfara and refused to move to secure more opportunities for the state? Sokoto State Governor has come to New York, his counterparts from Ekiti, Niger, Plateau and many others have come so because I am scared of criticisms I should not come to New York?”.

He accused some invisible hands for financing other people to be spreading such fake news against him.

He added that since his arrival, he has been meeting with partners trying to see how they can come to the state and invest noting that, soonest they are going to meet with the UN Deputy Secretary General to discuss further opportunities for the state.

He added that some investors had already demonstrated interest in coming to Zamfara to invest in solid minerals and alternative energy.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
