Governor Bello Matawalle has accompanied the President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhark to the 77th United Nations General Assembly holding at New York.
Himself, the Governor of Borno State Babagana Umara Zulum, Governor Simon Lalong, Governor Seun Makinde of Lagos, National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno and Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Sadiya Umar Faruk were among the presidential entourage.
While in New York, Governor Bello Matawalle is expected to join the president in holding bilateral meetings with investors and partner countries in the area of security, investment, economy and global energy.
The Governor is to also specifically take advantage of the visit to canvass global solution and partnership around counterterrorism, education, social investment as well job creation through private sector participation in gold and artisanal mining .
