Governor Bello Matawalle has visited seven of those police officers attacked by armed bandits at Kurar Mota community of Bungudu local government area of Zamfara State.
The Governor who expressed shock over the unfortunate attack assured that he would partner with security agencies to get rid of the suspected attackers and brought them to justice.
In a statement by the Governor’s Director General on Public Enlightenment, Media and Communication Malam Yusuf Idris Gusau said, the Governor had rated the performance of the security agencies in the fight against banditry high noting that over the time the security operatives had brought back positive result in their operations.
Idris further said the Governor had earlier on Sunday scheduled an APC stakeholders meeting but suspended it considering the priority he has accorded the unfortunate incident.
