Some suspected gunmen had invaded Bakori community in Katsina state and abducted six persons including women and children.
BBC Hausa service reported that the suspected gunmen entered Bakori town and abducted six family members of one of the residents of the town.
From Bakori according to the source, the gunmen moved to Barebari village where they molested people and later killed one person.
A source confirmed that, the man at Barebari was killed in his presence, noting that the deceased was killed while trying to lock his house.
He noted that because of the constant fear of the bandits, the people of Barebari area usually moved out of the village whenever it is dark and retuned in the following morning.
The gunmen had also killed another person at Majema village in Danja local government area of Katsina state.
The source added that the man was killed while trying to offer rescue noting that two other people were abducted during the Majema attack.
When contacted for confirmation, police spokesperson in Katsina SP Gambo Isah said he will make some inquiries and revert to the development at Bakori and Danja.
