GUNMEN KILLS FATHER TWO CHILDREN IN ZAMFARA

Some suspected killers have invaded the private residence of one Malam Sani of Hanyar Agama Lafiya in Tsafe local governmentl area of the state on Friday and gruesomely murdered him and his two children.

A source who confided in this medium said, based on the suspicion by the residents, the invaders were suspected to be hired killers whose mission was to assassinate the deceased.

The source further said a few months back, the same suspects were alleged to have attacked the deceased and attempted to cart away his cow, but the attack was repelled.

He said after the incident, the deceased and his relations reported the matter to the police and the guardians of the suspects were invited where a resolution was reached.

He added that the suspects were asked to put down an undertaking to the effect that whatever happened to the victim they would be held responsible.

The source further said, suddenly on Saturday night they were alleged to invade the residence of the deceased again killed him and two of his biological sons.

Another source said, in that night when the incident occured, the neighbor of the deceased attempted to rescue him but had to run due to fear of attackers.

He told this medium that, the neighbor had confidentially informed many people that he recognized two out of the attackers and had already reported the information to the police.

Zamfara State Police Command Public Relations Officer SP Shehu Muhammad said, the command has received the report of the incident and investigation has already commenced.

He said five suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident and the matter has been transferred to State CID for further action noting that the accused would be prosecuted in the court of law.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
