Hon Minister! No place like home: Take note!BySani Ahmed Sambo(Magayakin Mada)

I wouldn’t underrate  Hon Sadiya Umar Faruk’s ability to handle such a very influential yet volatile and  complicated ministry of humanitarian affairs much as I cannot envisage how her records and experiences have become the apex requirements to take the  slot of  Zamfara State. Yes! Qulillahumma.. ta gama komi I have no doubt about that as a true Muslim.
However,  from your handling of all programmes meant for the Nigerian masses, to which your ministry is the service provider, it is crystal clear that Zamfara,  your home state seems to get the least  of your attention. We have given you all the benefits of doubt as we have been watching with keen interest the impact of your office in other states of the federation.
For instance, for Palliatives alone to have come to the Zamfara masses  long after the covid 19 lock down hunger had eaten deep into the marrow of our people is to say the least unfair, unwarranted, unfortunate and obvious misrepresentation of our dear state especially when the daughter of Zamfara soil has the authority to direct otherwise in favour of the people with whom mandate she occupies the current position as a minister of the federal republic. We have less concern whether you relate with the people of the state or relegate them to the back ground politically or otherwise simply because of the mirage of having a tight grip to the highest branch as the termite infested  root decomposes by the day.
The recently aborted Flagg off  programme on cash transfer and other masses oriented programmes  to the  highly vulnerable and poverty stricken people of the Zamfara have been enjoyed by other states  only for your ministry to postpone same till further notice is manifest shortcoming on your part. Moreover the reasons given by your ministry on the postponement lacks all substance to convince a critical mind. This post therefore represents a home calling for change of modus operandi to grant Zamfara people their legitimate right to enjoy dividends of democracy like any other Nigerian citizen as and when due. After all a cooking pot for the lizard is also a cooking pot for the chameleon!
