Katsina State Commissioner for Science and Education Dr. Rabe Nasir has been assassinated by gunmen at his residence located at Fatiam Shema estate in Katsina metropolis on Thursday.
Some sources said he was assassinated on Wednesday, while others reported that his corpse was found Thursday morning.
Another source said the deceased was shot after Asr payer on Wednesday within his residing estate in Katsina.
“He was stabbed in the stomach in his sitting room while his body was dragged into a toilet where it was locked.
Before his elevation to the status of Commissioner, he was the Special Adviser to Governor Bello Masari on Science and Technology.
He was born in Mani local government area of Katsina state, and it was reported that, Governor Aminu Bello Masari had since visited the resident of the deceased.
