MEDICAL QUACKERY AT INCREASE: ZAMFARA NMA LAMENT

Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Zamfara State Chapter has lamented that, medical quackery is alarmingly at increase in Zamfara State hence there is the need for joint effort to curtail the menace before it consumes many lives.

Vice Chairman of NMA Zamfara Dr. Sanusi Bello made the lamentation when he featured in Thunder Blowers Online TV show programme “Tirka-Tirka” on Saturday.

He said the high level of patronage of services rendered by these quack Medical staff called for concern since it’s only when public stopped accessing their interventions government can be able to deal with them accordingly.

He said, majority of the public are running away from accessing the services of professional health facilities in the state because of lack of patience, curiosity for self-description and above all, the quack medical personel are willing to do their bidding.

He called on the state ministry for health to be apt and restrengthen its machinery aimed at ensuring that all those unprofessional persons parading themselves as medical personel are arrested and brought to book.

He also called on the people of the state to support the state government in making sure that this mission is achieved.

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
