NO ZAMFARA STUDENT IS EVICTED FROM HIS RESIDENTIAL APARTMENT: MAJIDADI

Zamfara State government has declared as unfounded the allegation by some foreign students in Sudan that, they have been evicted from their residential apartments due to non payment of the house rent by the government.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Students Matters and Scholarship Lukuman Bisallah Majidadi made the declaration in an exclusive interview with Thunder Blowers Online News Medium in Gusau on Tuesday.

He noted that, to the best of his knowledge, the state government has paid complete annual house rent to all its students studying in Sudan as well as paid their annual tuition fees to the University.

He said beside these giant steps, the government has sustain the monthly payment of 100 dollar to each of its students in Sudan as monthly allowances.

He said this morning he has called the state government agent in Sudan to confirm the true picture of the situation and he confirmed that, there is nothing like eviction of Zamfara students from any of its rented apartments.

Majidadi explained further that, the government is fully aware that, some politicians are behind the plans to instigating the students to embark on the protest for their selfish political reasons.

He noted that it was unfortunate that, some parent went to the extent of returning their children back to Nigeria in the name of Corona Virus without consulting the government and same parent now want the governme to be paying the monthly allowances of 100 dollars to their children even while at home.

Majidadi therefore called on the parent whose children are currently in Sudan not to panic hence the state government is doing everything possible to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of their children.

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
