ON THE ZAMFARA APC COMMITTEE ON ANTI-PARTY

It is becoming obvious that Zamfara State APC is taking the most appropriate steps of checkmating the allegations of anti-party made against some other powerful members of the APC in the state.

When the National Leadership of the APC Defense Collision led by Dr. Sulaiman Shuaibu Sarkin Shanu and his Secretary Anas Abdullahi Kaura raised the alarm that there is the need for the state APC to investigate the allegations of anti-party against some trusted APC members in Zamfara, not many people including me take them seriously.

But the recent political outing by Aminu Jaji and his utterance before the National Chairman of the APC Sen. Abdullahi Adamu that he was allegedly removed from the Speakership race because of the allegation of Anti-party I begin to suspect that something realistic about the allegation might be pulling out from the hidden cave.

On Wednesday Malam Yusuf Idris Gusau shared a Press Release with us informing the world that the APC Zamfara had constituted a committee to investigate the allegations of anti-party. I now say the party is speeding on the appropriate track.

We must not bother to review what happened during the just concluded Governorship election in Zamfara but it was unfortunate that some people were bold enough to show their satisfaction for going against the victory of the APC.

I was privilege to have a discussion with the former Chairman of the APC in Tsafe recently at the office of former Governor Yari in Maitama and his bold pronouncement about going against the victory of the APC in Tsafe because of the personal grudge he has against Sen. Kabiru Marafa has sent a shiver down my spine because I believed the spirit of the party was never in him.

I wonder how someone like him who benefited from the party since from the onset, will feel fulfilled for making sure that his party suffered political defeat and without any sign of remorse and he can face the public and say he is fulfilled.

Such type of people may not likely be wary of the implication their action may have on their future political carrier because no serious politicians may be willing to entrust them anymore because of the fear of blatant failure and possible betrayal.

As for the committee members, it is only fair if they would do their job diligently and put the fear of Allah at heart by fishing out those real enemies of the APC and recommend for the appropriate steps to be instituted against them.

The committee should stick to the terms of reference of their job and identify those that are against the victory of the party regardless of the political affiliation where belong to.

As for Governor Bello Matawalle time has come for him to make a self-assessment of those around him and review the stewardship of everyone, especially in relations to their conduct in the just concluded 2023 election in Zamfara.

I must say it with boldness that there are many around him that cheated him politically, and I am sure as Governor he has intelligent reports that can prove this my hypothesis and as a human being with ambition, he needs to outrightly do away with them within the shortest possible time.

In politics it is not the heavy crowd that matters but the ability of the crowd to hit to your targeted goals. As for the scenario during the Zamfara 2023 elections, it was an impression of a “big man wearing a balloon regalia with an empty brass”.

Governor Bello Matawalle has no doubt trusted many political allies, but they turn down to betray him for reasons best known to them and as a payback for their deliberate action, they should also be disregarded especially that the 2023 election has come with another political anatomy that, common people have political powers over the so-called political power-brokers.

As for the former Governor Abdulaziz Yari I will urge him to review his political structure and do away with those that do not bother about his political humiliation.

Many of those he entrusted had used that opportunity of trust to betray him without mincing the effect of their action on the political relevance of Yari especially at the national level.

Yari has done his possible best, and he is still doing his possible best to ensure that the stolen mandate of the APC has been regained but to be candid, some of his political allies have betrayed him openly and that should not be allowed to go scot-free.

I implore the Yusuf Idris led committee to do their best and come up with a realistic report and recommendations that will help bring stability in the APC of Zamfara.
