A popular political support group, Senator“ Gida Gida” headed by Hajiya Hadiza Rufai Imam has announced that the group has shifted its loyalty to the political group of Bello Matawalle.
According to the statement by the APC spokesperson Yusuf Idris Gusau, the group is known for canvassing house to house support for Senator Kabiru Marafa before they announced the shift of their ground.
Idris said, the group has over (14,000) registered members of the APC and their membership cut across all the fourteen local government areas of the state.
She said, “the decision to abandon their former group and political leader, former Sen. Kabiru Garba Marafa is in realization that they were being taken for granted” Idris added.
She recalled that “Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle has singled out himself as a unique political leader in the state especially through the introduction of various women support programmes being executed under the office of the First Lady of the state as well as his initiatives in the fight against armed banditry and other crimes where women suffered a lot”.
She therefore urged all women in the state to continue to support and pray for the success of the Matawalle-led administration and also support Tukur Umar Danfulani chairmanship of the APC in the state for continuity and progress.
In his welcome remarks, APC Chairman Tukur Umar Danfulani expressed gratitude to Allah for making the group realize the good intentions of the Matawalle-led administration and the effort of the APC leadership to bring all members under one political umbrella.
