POLICE , ARMY DEPLOYS JOINT OPERATIONAL SQUARD TO FIGHT BANDITS IN ZAMFARA FOREST

Zamfara State Police Command led by CP Usman Nagogo and 1 Brigade, Nigerian Army Gusau headed by Brigadier General O. M. Bello have constituted and deployed a joint operational squad comprising of the Police, Army and Civil Defence to  BINDIN district of Maru LGA.

The deployment of the operational team was aimed at  complementing  the existing security operation in the area at the wake of the renewed security threat in the area. 
In a Statement by State Police Command Public Rekations Officer SP Shehu Mubamnad redas that, the eighty (80) man joint squad was unvieled today by the Commissioner of Police and the Brigade Commander respectively.

While briefing officers and men deployed for the operation, CP Usman Nagogo urged them to discharge their duty with all sense of professionalism and commitement.
 He also called on  them to set aside issue of inter agency rivalry, instead they should work as a team and careful ensure sustainable but result oriented operation in the area. 

He appreciated the effort of the  state government led by Mohammed Bello Matawalle for providing logistic support especially  operational vehicles and  welfare of the security operatives deployed to carry out  the operation.

The Brigade Commander on the other hand, called on the operatives to be more conscious of their personal safety and security, and urged the officers to work as one family and avoid inter agency rivalry.
People of the host community have also commended the the CP and Army Comannader for their concern and assured them of their unending support aimed at addressing the lingering security challenges affecting the area.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
