Residents living along the border towns of Katsina and Zamfara precisely from Sheme-Tsafe had continue to raise concern on what they termed as repercussion of what followed after the turbanning of the one of the bandit leader Ado Aleiru.
One of the residents of Kucheri town Malam Rabilu posted on his verified Facebook page an hour ago that, immediately the Emir of Birnin Yandoto was suspended and Katsina State government renew it’s earlier decision if declaring Ado Alieru wanted negative incidents have been recorded by the various communities along the main Funtua-Gusau highway.
He reported that bandits invaded Ruwan Godiya village in Bakori local government on Tuesday killed and injured several others.
He also reported that another attack was carried out at Sabon Gari Bilbis in Katsina and fired shot at someone.
He also reported that, Sheme-Yankara road was invaded by the bandits on Tuesday.
According to him vehicles plying Sheme-Tsafe road were stopped inside Kucheri town after which many shops were destroyed and valuable properties were carted away.
He also stated that one person was murdered at the outskirt of the Yanakara town at the early hours of today (Wednesday).
He raised a strong concern that the common people may be at the receiving end of these decisions and indecisions.
He therefore urged the government to do what is required to enhance peace and security of their citizensa.
While attributing that issue of insecurity is a complex one, he recalled that before this recent development residents of the communities along the Zamfara border with Katsina from Sheme to Tsafe have enjoyed relative peace due to the impact of the reconciliation entered into with the bandits.
