Former civilian Governor of Zamfara State Sen. Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura has reaffirmed that Zamfara State would adopt a consensus during its state Congress even as other states in Nigeria may adopt the option of conducting competitive elections.
Yarima who made the declaration when he received members of Tukur Danfulani foundation who paid him a Sallah homage insisted that those who are willing to compete for any position are free to do that but except the office of the state Chairman.
He said all those that are aspiring for the post of State Chairman of the party or those who had started spreading their posters would be asked to step down their ambition since the party led by Bello Matawalle has already resolved whom to go for the State Chairman and Secretary.
“You used to call Tukur Danfulani Chairman when he was acting in the PDP, believed me then he was not Chairman, but it is now he would exercise the powers of Chairman”.
“The APC leader in Zamfara Bello Matawalle had believed in the confidence of Tukur Danfulani, his level of trust and loyalty, also when we were discussing, no one has ever raised any negative comment about him and this is what is required of a responsible person because the testimony of the people is a confirmation that the almighty God and angels have accepted the good deeds of Tukur Danfulani”.
The former Senator reminded the members of the foundation that it’s God almighty who gives power to whomever he wishes, noting that anybody who is in doubt of this he has taken a wrong direction.
