TINUBU ASK ME TO RECONCILE GOV. DAUDA LAWAL WITH BELLO MATAWALLE: SEN YARIMA.

Former Governor of Zamfara State Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura has told state House journalists on Monday in Abuja that President Bola Ahmad Tinubu had asked him to reconcile Governor Dauda Lawal with his predecessor Bello Matawallen Maradun.

It could be recalled that recently there were a crises between the government of Zamfara state led by Dauda Lawal and former Governor Bello Matawalle over the recovery of forty vehicles allegedly taken away by the former Governor.
The matter is currently before the Federal High Court Gusau and order for the return of the vehicles was issued by Justice Aminu Bappa.

Some police officers allegedly involved the in what supporters of Bello Matawalle the former Governor, referred to as “illegal operations” have been transferred out of Zamfara state by the former IGP Baba Alkali.

Yarima said plans are under way to get the rift between the former Governor and Dauda Lawal the Governor of Zamfara settled.

“You see, the issue of Zamafara like you rightly said, I’m now a father in Zamfara. Even Mr President, in my interaction this afternoon, has requested me to put my best to ensure that there’s stability in the state and that is what we are doing already,” Yerima said.

“And by the grace of God, we will come together, and you will see that all the crises that are going on will be over.”

Yerima also commended Tinubu’s decision to remove the petrol subsidy, saying the action was vital in achieving price equilibrium.

“I’m here this afternoon to congratulate Mr. President for a very successful take-off having taken over the helms of affairs of our country,” he said.

“He came up with three quick decisions that I believe, as an economist, are going to help this country to achieve development.

“First, he removed the fuel subsidy, which former leaders couldn’t do, and looked at the exchange rate disparity which he is bringing together. It will help the export and import system and finally the reopening of the border for goods and services to flow into Nigeria.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
